Dear Friend of Casey’s House,
Kitten season is upon us and
already we are filled up with kittens at Casey’s House! Shortly after we took in our first mother
from Winchester we received a call about a mother in Berryville! Both mothers are merely more than kittens
themselves, about six months old. We are
hoping to find homes for the mothers along with the kittens; the mothers will
be spayed and fully vetted. If taken
with a kitten, the adoption fee for the mother will be fully waived!
After taking in two mothers
one right after the other we were going to take a breather for a few days to
get adjusted to our fast growing foster family.
However, a feral mother cat had other ideas and we hadn’t even realized
that she was pregnant! We woke up one
morning and instead of a feral cat alone in her cage waiting for the
spay/neuter transport there was a feral cat with five kittens, don’t ask me
where in her belly she was hiding those kittens as I still can’t figure it
out! We have received quite a few calls
since about mother cats and kittens and will be working with a few families to
try to find homes for everybody but we need your help! Each mother needs to be combo tested,
dewormed, shots, and spayed. Each kitten
also needs to be fully vetted and it all costs money.
